1) configure your web browser to use an open proxy at: open proxies (not so secure) OR, for better security, go to tor.eff.org and install privoxy and tor onion router (woo hoo, leet hax0r kung-fu security!) and configure your browser following the tor instructions. Don't panic. See the next paragraph for a link with helpful photos.
1b) Are you confused about where to download Tor and Privoxy? The Windows- based instructions and links for tor and privoxy are available from directly from tor.eff.org!
1c) Note: Some people can't find privoxy off of the tor.eff.org page. It can be downloaded from sourceforge at this link: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ijbswa/privoxy_setup_3_0_ 3-1.exe?download. If sourceforge confuses you try a direct download for privoxy from internap here.
2) Once you are configured to use a proxy (hides your IP) right-click and save this file to your computer: spamvampire.html. Don't do it now! Install TOR and PRIVOXY first! Then, AFTER YOU'RE SURE YOU'RE USING AT LEAST A PROXY!!! load the page into your web browser. (If you save the spamvampire.html file to your pc you can still use it once AFI or TELUS has this page taken down.)
3) Leave it running whenever you are not using your computer. Suck back the AFI bandwidth like gravy.

AFI purchases their webspace from a hosting company. That means they PAY for their bandwidth. This javascript enabled web page reloads and reloads and reloads every image that could be found by crawling the AFI website and thus jacking up their bandwidth costs.
This web page is based upon Spam Vampire and will be very effective if lots of people are loading files from AFI. I'm happy to report that when set up on a good high-speed connection one person can suck back at least 200MB an hour.
Is this Distributed Denial Of Service attack? No. I wish, but not unless thousands of people are doing this which I expect is not the case.
If you're still able to load images from AFI while you're running spam vampire then you are not denying anyone any service.
Having said that... If you suddenly notice 404 screens in ALL the little image boxes while running Spam Vampire it would probably be a good idea to stop for the day.
However, I still think a small amount of people could hit afi in the pocketbook!

I highly recommend using the TOR router method as it is the only way to ensure 100% anonymity and also keeps AFI from firewalling netblocks in the SHAW or TELUS ranges.
Oh, don't forget to turn off the proxy in your web browser when you don't need anonymity!

Once this all works and privoxy is in your tray bar, right click the icon, select edit, default actions, and find the line below in the section marked:

Change it to:
+hide-user-agent{Privoxy/1.0} \
Save the file and close notepad.
Now privoxy won't report what browser you are using.
